I'm a newbie here and I figured I'd post first here in the Pen and Ink forum because that's what I mainly do. I'm going to be trying out some oil painting which is how I found this site, so maybe you'll see some of my efforts from that pretty soon. Anyway, here are a few of my pieces.

Hi and welcome. Your inkwork is fabulous!! I especially like the coral reef, but it's all very very well done. Thanks for showing us. The pen and ink forum is not that active, but given that your subjects are mostly animals, I would encourage you to post in Mike Sibley's forum. I know everyone there would love to see these.

I like the fish very much. Good composition and all the tonal values fit together and balance each other. It somehow stands out from the other drawings.

I do exclusively crosshatching in my pen and ink drawings. I have a lot of patience but not enough for stippling. Stippling has softer edges and contrast than crosshatching and this seems to fit your style very well.

I'm curious: What drawing tools do you use?

AWESOME stippling ink works! Some great values in all your works! It's a time comsuming way to ink but the end results are GREAT! Have done some myself Thanks for sharing!
