Hello,

First, I want to tell you that my mother tongue is not english so I may be doing a lot of mistake while I am writting this.

My question is about the videos workshop. I am interested in ordering them. I would like to know if, at some point, there is an explanation about the preparation of the medium (lacquer) for painting. Also, will a beginner be able to understand the process of the dead layer and it's use. It is because when I look at the free art lesson, it's not very clear for me.
Thank you.

Hi, Anna:
Yes, you will find there the explanations about medium under several circumstances.
Regarding your question about the beginners, this video becomes powerful learning tool for the serious and passionate amateurs but it also can turn out to be new learning stage for the professional artists.

Dear Anna,

I'm an un-educated artist. Of all the books I have come upon, and what little training I have received, the video (1st) answered so many questions. Being self taught, and very hungry for professional instruction, I took the chance on the video purchase. Following Mr. Antonov's instructions allowed my work to improve ten fold. It really scared me when I was completed the first painting. I can email a pic of it or attempt to upload to the forum. I'ld like to get some feedback from it any way. I can hardly wait to read/see the Ruben's technique? Mr. Antonov's is proposing to discuss at a later time. (that allows one to complete the painting in a few days).

Dear Mr. Antonov.

Are the video's available in dvd format. I'm finding that as I study the video, it is losing some of it's quality with time, (as most magnetic media will do). No fault of your own, it's just the process of aging for video tapes. Would it be alright if I can find someone that can copy it to dvd before it gets to bad?

Thanks for such a great web site and instruction. The Ecology of Culture Rocks! or Rules! or something one of our seven kids would say!

Hi, Delmus:
It will be great if you would put your finished painting for us to see like new topic under "Free Art Lessons on line/Display your art work for discussion".

This is also very good idea about DVD. Of course you can do that. I unfortunately not yet ready to produce my videos on DVD, maybe some day in future.
Happy posting!

Legally, you can make as many copies as you like in any format, so long as same are for archival purposes AND your own use. So, for example, if you bought a DVD and copied it to VHS to watch on your studio TV, that would be legal.

Making a copy for someone else would be wrong.

It's nice of you to ask, though.

sorry for the test,

Is your agreement for Delmus to copy the video to DVD for personnal use a broad allowance for other people who "bought your video" and is making a backup copy for their "own personnal use".

This is one of my first post, so to tell a little about myself, I am a new artist who wants to learn from the best, and several people pointed me to this sight.

I entend to buy all your videos and consider you one of the best painters that I know about, thank you for this site and your tapes. If I can figure out were to get Damar crystals, I will be set.

thanks for your time
