"A pair of WIPs I've started. Comments please...."

These are two pieces I'm working on with what little free time I get lately. The first is of the "tipsy house" at our local amusement park. The biggest challenge here is getting the perspective of this oddly shaped building correct. I am using graphite for the first time in a while to achieve more detail (as opposed to 100% charcoal). I'll add the darkest tones/shadows last. The lettering looks better on the original than the scan. I also can't figure out why my images are so BIG, because the resolution sure wasn't very high. The close up area is only 2"X3" on the original. The second piece is an ice fishing shack I'm doing in all charcoal. It provides a good change of pace for the mind. The challenge of capturing minute detail accurately is replaced with trying to fool the eye with a more abstract medium/technique. I'm going to try to capture snow around the base, a bucket and hole (some initial sketch lines are barely visible on the left of the image) and some footprints in the snow between them. I'm debating adding a sled or some other item to the composition. Any thoughts, advice, criticism is welcome and appreciated.
