"Frida Kahlo !!!"
Hi Everyone, I'm back again with my latest drawing of Frida Kahlo(1907-1954) the greatest mexican painter who led a stranger than fiction life. I'm sure it's not very realistic. I used a painterly looking reference that doesn't have much drama of light and shadow. The essence of subject that attracted me more than the technical aspects of reference. I won't be able to be back to the drawing for next few months as our semester has just started and I have lot many things to work out. I feel very sad about that. I'll be posting the comments though. Thanks for all your encouragement and critiques for all these days esp.Marc,Phil,Jim and JD. Any comments and advice are always welcome. If you want to know more about Frida click on the image in my favorites page www.committed.to/carbon
Thats an excellent piece of work to bow out on Good luck over the next few moths. Email me if you wish if you ever get a free moment and you are'nt drawing Then again, if you can get the time to emaill you will obviously have the time to post.

Sad to hear that you'll be out for a while bud, anyway you made a very graceful exit by doing this piece. It's outstanding. The first time I look at it I see the painting effect and it's really giving the drawing a distinction. Good luck on your schooling and
Wow! Smooth as silk! Very nice job toning this piece. the shadows are very realistic. Skin tones are nice and smooth. You seem to be settling in on a style. I like the "look" Keep it up! (When you can)
