"very stupid question"

What do you do with the chamois after it gets really dirty? Do you wash it, or throw it away and buy a new one?
is it ok to wash it? (now mine got dirty with graphite, and I have no idea what to do!)

I rinsed mine in the sink with a little mild soap. Then set it out to dry, absolutely no dryer or heat.

Works fine. Just make sure it is completely dry before you use it again.
