here is a new one i just started on..not much to see yet ,..so far ive stuck with this combination longer then anything else,..ebony jet black for the dark stuff...and a kimberly 2H for the light stuff.on strathmore 400...or canson classic cream....i want to be able to finish her this weekend...so no food / water or sleep until im done.

Looks great so far absolute...about the paper ...is this cream paper good to work with? Have never tried before but have been tempted..vickie

its pretty nice paper,...i dont know if you have ever used strathmore 400 ,,...but i think its about the same thing,..i cant really tell them apart,...im not very good with blending so i like it cause it has a little texture,and picks up pretty good on harder pencils.,..i think one side might be a little smoother if you like blending a lot.
im having a hard time with this one ,her hair doesnt have much for highlights in it

well i think im done with this one...i was just looking at her and i think she kind of looks like tom hanks in a way?...i was going to add about 3 inches farther down but im really getting burned out on this one,.im off on the mouth somehow and i cant figure out how to fix it? the angles looked ok in the beginning but im not sure what is going on?

This is awesome and looks just like a photo. Great job on hair and eyes. You have your own style of drawing and blending which is very good. About the angle I cannot figure it out unless I'm given the reference (still I'm living on that "draw what you see "principle). Seems you are going to draw hundred models/actresses a year(you are the best among I've known in drawing models).

Hi absolute... you have done a great drawing. What stands out the most to me is the eye.... it looks fantastic! how did you achive that realistic eye

what method did you use?? did you do the technique that is in JD's book?

Hi Absolute,

this is a beauty - love the darkness in her hair and eyes. Very sultry picture.

I can see what you mean about the mouth - although I don't have the source photo to compare it to, it looks to me like there's a problem with her top lip/philtrum being a little too far forward compared to the nose. Perhaps you can shade it a little more and pull the mouth back?

Otherwise, don't give up on her!
