I'm trying to copy my image to post up here. I've tried taking digital photos with the flash on or off . With it on , the graphite reflects too much and with the flash off the picture is too dark.
If I take the photo outside the graphite still reflects from the sunlight. I've tried scanning it (my einstein pic was scanned) and it seems to really show up the charcoal as large harsh lines and it seems to distort the picture some how. It doesnt look anything like the original.
I was wondering how you guys get your pictures to look so clear , I'm obviously doing something wrong.

Well, I donīt have digital camera, but if your cam has possibility to adjust exposure time use it and put cam on the tripod. Flash is useless in taking pictures of pictures.
I adjust my scans in photoshop which came with scanner, but it feels like theres crappy scanners and then theres even crappier scanners...
