Hi Steph,I truely am sorry to hear this news. I was in a similar situation to you almost three years ago and I can understand how desvistated, confused and lost you must feel.
I know it is difficult but try to focus on your needs and those of your children right now. They will need you more than ever at the moment as their world will have falledn apart also and they too will feel exactly the same way you do. Try to make sure they realise it is not their fault. As they try to get to grips with the enormity of the situation they will rationalise the problem in the best way they know, unfortunately this often leads to self blame and a lot of anger.
Talk to people, talking helps enormously, please don't internalise your feelings it only makes things worse.
I obviously don't know the cercumstances of your separation but my partner was depressed which led to our separation. If you are in a similar situation, pm me, and I will give you the address of an excellent support group.
I know it is a clich'e but time really does heal, take each day one day at a time and keep posting.
