"Light or blond hair"

This is my first time posting anything anywhere. I have just started drawing here about 5 weeks ago. I love the attitude of everyone here. I hope that not to far into the future I will post some of my work for helpful hints and tips. The one question that I do have is there any pointers on drawing full, light or blond hair? What I mean by full is thick or long.

Thanks for ya'lls time.

The line between failure and success is so thin that just one more effort will get it.

I sketched this out last night, well it's a rough draft so it's not like photorealistic or antyhing but I think it's enough for hair demonstration. I shaded the shadowed parts with a f pencil and then lifted the highlights with the kneaded eraser. I put a cople shaded strands on the lighted part. Notice the highlights and shade, well, it's not perfect since I drew this mostly out of imaginationand had no reference for the hair. (please ignore the facial features being out of proportiuon since I sketched this to practice hair mostly)

A couple hints: use hard pencils for rendering blonde hair (such as 2h) and do not draw too many individual hairs, just a few here and there wehere shadow suppsed to hit is enough. For shaded parts, shade the whole thing and then lift hghlights where the light hits. Don't use pencils that are too sharp also don;t press too hard since that will dent the paper and most likely ruin the pic in case you make a mistake. Even if you shade the hair sort of dark, lifting highlights carefully will make it look blonde. I wish I could find a reference photo or drawing showing proper light/shadow balance and highlights so that I could explain better.
