I'm glad to find this place while looking around i see alot of talents hope i can learn from u guys. Heres one of my drawing.

Hi Guidinglight. Great job! You have very nice tones happening.

If I could offer a little critique. The left side of the drawing which is the shadow side looks a little out of balance. The ear is very light compared to the original I would darken that area up to match the photo.

every once in a while step back from your piece and make sure your in balance to the original. I think that's key to the success of any drawing.

   The left side of the portrait is well done. The right, however, is stretched out of proportion. A grid would help.

   Very nice. You have the mechanics down...

I agree on the grid. I think you'll find it takes so much of the guesswork out of getting your proportions right. And it's NOT cheating!:7

   I just realized something - his photograph of the drawing is not square to the camera lens - so there's a trapezoid thing happening. That may be accentuating the off-kilter proportion more that it really is... just an observation.
