"Feanor study - (WIP)"

Happy new year everyone! I'm back with a new piece, unfortunately I took a long break from drawing due to excessive work load. Anyway, here is my first (successful) attempt to draw from imagination, and first Tolkien influenced drawing. This is a draft sketch of the elf prince Fëanor. I need some advice to improve it before I redraw it on high quality bristol pad (the draft is drawn on very bad quality sketchpad, and the smudge marks are the result of an accident)

I don't have any reference since this comes 100% from imagination. Please let me know what you think!

this is wonderful for an imagination. You must be very good at figure(life)drawings. I see Frida Kahlo in your portrait for some reason.

Great job! The only thing I might add is some highlight to the Hair. it will add life to it.

Here is the fixed version (I still have to redraw it on bristol tho.. arrrgh don't you hate it when you start doodling on some horrible, lowest quality paper and then end up rendering the whole thing then having to redraw it? I don't think anyoen else is as insecure as me, too chickensomething to start drawing on expensive paper *sigh*)

anyway, since I don't have any reference for this sort of hair with the light coming from front, I ended up putting some highlights on the braids to emphasize them when I darkened the hair. Of course I have sprayed this with workable spray (paper was way too damaged) I did some highlights with white charcoal. Is it better now?
