Hi Melissa, I'll try not to repeat what's already been said, but this is an absolutely wonderful drawing! Mike is right, the drawing will take as long as it needs. Just keep doing what you are doing at your own pace and you will soon have a masterpiece! I can't wait to see the finished work, but I will . . .

Mike and Bill, thank you very much for your comments! I'm honored! I don't feel it's a masterpiece, but maybe by the time it's done it will seem that way since it may take half my life to finish it! lol Hopefully it will all be worth it and I'll feel good about it. I do feel quite good about it, but there are still things that I'm changing to try to make it better, which I guess every artist does until they finish. Without using a grid it's a bit harder, but it seems to be coming along pretty well.

P.S. I wanted to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving--now I'm too late for that, but I hope you all had a great day! I know I did. We went to my mom's uncle's house for our meal, taking some food with us to help out. Today we also had another meal with my dad's brother and his wife, which was really nice! I think I may have gained some weight!

Thanks melissa...yes Turkey sandwiches for the next week:-)
We went to my mom's uncle's house for our meal, taking some food with us to help out. Today we also had another meal with my dad's brother and his wife, which was really nice! I think I may have gained some weight!
