"just one..."
I just posted my drawing on the "your drawing portfolio" forum. but I realized not many people look there, so I will post it here as well. Well anyways my name is Eric Hellman, I am 21, and have been drawing most of my life. Not until a few years ago did I start drawing realistic pictures. Unfortunately I don't have a scanner so I only have one drawing as of now to share with you. I drew this and gave it to my wife as a proposal to marry me. The final picture was framed and matted with the words "will you marry me?" on the bottom. I cropped off everything but the drawing and we put that on all of our wedding invitations.

Welcome to the board. Your drawing is excellent. It has lot of complex composition and you did it very well. It looks like a poster/greeting card. Did you use any charcoal for this ?? seems it has lost some contrast(may be because of the bad scanner). Would like to see more of your drawings. keep drawing.

P.S: Glad to know that art can make many wonderful things in life.

I only used graphite, HB and 2B, pencils. And I didn't use a scanner, I had to borrow a friends digital camera. I want to upgrade my computer and get a nice scanner along with a good printer eventually. Thank you for the good feedback though.

Your drawing is so good. I just wish I could see a clearer PIC of it. I think it was so romantic that you drew this to ask her to marry you, & then to include it on your wedding invitations. I can't wait to see more work from you. :D

I have a picture of another drawing I did for my younger sister, but it is hard to see the detail in it, I will post it anyways. I did it with only colored pencils.

Welcome to the board afblades. You got a nice drawing here w/ the two kids. What medium did you used on the flower? That looks great too. Keep it up and God bless.

absolute, that would have been pretty cool, I never even thought about it when we were creating the invitations. The only problem is that it would have cost alot more to print them in color. I had them print it in b and w, at about half the price of color. None the less it is a good idea.
