Quote I am sure she will love this!

Just beautiful!

Hey, how do you manage to post the pictures this big? I tried but it didn't work.

Linda

Hi Linda I save my images for the web in photoshop , I save them 72dpi 500 pixels wide , Photoshop 7 has a optmization feature where I can alter the image quality and size to what ever I require , It's as simple as going to File, Save for web, and a new window opens with previews , see sample , if you dont have Photoshop be sure to make your image 72dpi as this is the standared for saving for the web , this is a link for a free optimizer I have not tried it my self so can't say how good it will be . go here

Hi Man ,
thanks for the input, I can see where you are coming from , thanks for pointing that out to me it will help.

This is a wonderful rendition! My only advice would be to add a background so that the head doesnt look as if it is "floating" in negative space. Im not sure if you were done with the picture or not. Excellent job!

Thank you for your kind words Valerie,
Backgrounds dont work for me , I think when drawing Photo-realism the Portraits look much more classy with a blank background , they can be too distracting , this is my excuse and i'm sticking to it

Excellent portrait Colin. Very Smooth and lifelike. Just wondering what paper you used?

My nieces portrait I was working on I used smooth bristol board but I blended to much and it started pulling up paper fuzzies and I was even using a chamios.

Avantar , The paper is Canson smooth Bristol board , I put the 2b graphite on lightly , then blended with chamios , can't say i've Experienced fuzzies with this paper , when i blend it is also with a light touch , hope things work out for you ,
