"Old portrait Picture Comparision"

This is an old picture I did of Cindy Crawford and a new one after I had read Lee Hammonds book and used the techniques. Im working on JD's book now. The old cindy pic was like 92 or 93 not sure but the new one is like 2000. I didnt do any portraits between that time.

The eyes on the first portrait are smoking!! Great job! In the second portrait, you have that shading thing going on around the face, that isn't blended in enough. I did a Lee Hammond tutorial as well, & I have the same thing with the face for the shading. Plus, my 2b mechanical pencils would only get so dark on the smooth Bristol paper, so the darker values were more limited.
