"Site Update"

   Hi folks -

I have completed yet another site update. I have come to believe that it will never be finished, and it can only get better. Please let me know what you guys think.

Nice update to the site. The one thing I noticed is on your gallery page, down at the bottom, your thumbnail for Andy Kaufman is the same as the Frank Sinatra one.

Nice website Bob, no fancy set-up but it was comprehensive and user friendly, which I think is much important. Keep it up.

God bless,

itoy

Robert, I really like your update! It looks very professional and it's easy to navigate! I like the colors and the striped background.

One thing you might want to do is include a link to the Guestbook on the main page. And I wish I could read the guestbook, too.

Yes, I'm aware of that - my main reason for not putting it on the front page is that I've spent a lot of time deciding exactly what the users NEED to know in the shortest amount of time possible for them to make a decision on buying a portrait from me.

There's as much psychology involved in website design as there is actual design. Actually, it should be the most *important* factor... but, I digress

I still want people to leave messages, but that's secondary to letting people know about me and how I can help them. I've sort-of turned the site into a selling tool, more than a "gallery" of my work.

What I may do is include it as a "secondary" link on the front page, and from there the user can either read and/or sign the guestbook.

Thanks for the feedback, I really do appreciate it!

Hi Rob,

I think you have the selling tool you are after now, It looks good, very professional. All you need now are some half decent pictures ....lol

I like the walk through story type thing you have that links the pictures, it makes you want to see more to see where it is going, nice idea.

One small thing. On the "picture comparison" section I automatically looked next to the drawings for the "next" button. It may be an idea to move it down from where you have it now as it seems sort of natural to go there, maybe thats just me though.

I really like the drawing of the sisters, makes me want to do something along those lines.

Phil

Yeah robert, your site is way better than month ago. I like the layout and stuff. Btw, have the clients found this $500 correct price for drawing?

I wouldn't know - I haven't had anyone interested! I may just do websites instead, now that I know so much about it!
