WOW that's wicked ...so real looking! Did you use just pencil or pencil and charcoal and what type of paper?

Awesome job!

Shelby

Thanks for the kudo Shelby. Yes just graphite on the coins and charcoal for the shadow and background. The paper was Arches Hot Press.

That is absolutely superb!

I have tried and tried but I really can't find anything wrong.

The reverse of the coin is so real looking. Not that the front isn't, it's just the back has the edge

Now you can pick up the the coin you used as a reference and spend it on whatever your heart desires, but don't go mad, OK

Absolute, them stars almost drove me nuts. The way they are lit and the small size was a real challenge. They really don't look like stars, just give the impression of them.

All told I think about 28 to 30 hours. I did not actually keep track of time.

Phil, there are lots of little things 'wrong', but the over all effect came out a lot better than I expected.

Actually it was two coins, so I can really splurge

Bob! You are the man! This work has me green with envy. You are no longer approaching photorealism, you are there. That bar just keeps getting higher and higher.

Wonderful work. It's me srivarey. I made a mistake by being neutral with points while I was in a hurry to rate you. Mea culpa. I've registered as a different user to make it up but still am not able to do that(I rated twice, still the rating is not updated). Keep up the great work. This world needs you.

srivarey
