"Wedding photo for a friend"

Evening all...
Once again its been a while since I've posted any work. I am still having trouble with my scanner picking up the shading in my faces so I took a digital picture of this one. Its a horrible picture really, but at least I think you can see the drawing for the most part. I did this one for a friend for Christmas, she doesn't know its coming. I also plan to post the digital pic of my last post, the baby, since I never got around to it before. I'll put it under a different topic as the administrators request.

Thanks for looking and please let me know what you see so I can make some last minute improvements if need be before sending this off to her.

Beth

Hi Beth,

The bride is looking good even thought the photo is not up to par the drawing is excellent. One thing that I noticed before seeing the reference photo is the wrinkle on the neck. I can see why you did it that way from the reference photo, but, in my opinion, it would look nicer in the drawing if it were toned down a bit or even eliminated.

Beth this looks really nice and i can tell you put a lot more work into it then what the JPG shows....ive had some scans that were so bad..i might as well just post a text descrption of what i drew .
so you are not alone in this scan mystery.
i was just wondering if you tried adding an extra layer of glass before scanning?...it does help a lot on picking up very light stuff...even in the pre scan it shows up good sometimes....but other times i have no idea what is going on.?
let me know if you figure out any better ways im open to any advice i can get too.

Hi Beth,
I'm not sure I'm seeing it clearly, But if it isn't there, you might look at the shadow as it comes up the bridge of the nose, especially around the eye and under the hair line on her left eye.

The drawing looks good.

Thanks everyone for your comments.

Steve, Yes I see what you mean now about that shadow...I'll see what I can do...I think it needs sharpening too.

Bob, yes it probably would look nicer if I toned down that wrinkle...I got too into making it as exact as I could I guess! (I bet she would appreciate it! haha)

Thanks again, everyone! I'll try and post an update after the weekend.

Hi Beth
Your drawing is looking good
