"Commission 4 of 15 (Einstein)"

I put here my latest. I skipped Jesus cause there was no good reference so I have to find it first somewhere.

Ok so this version is about 94% done so its still called WIP. I will add some life to the hair, its kind od 2D but I have no time to finish it just now. The hairs really weird, dead and 2D also in the ref pic, believe or not.

I will also put some shadow to the collar. Some details more to the face, perhaps.

Tell me if theres something to be fixed.

Drawing time so far 15hours

Wowee!
All of these commissions are fabulous, the hair around the ears looks fabulous would that have something to do with the rest looking '2D'. I think it looks great anyway. You're amazing!!

Thanks people! I am sorry theres too many einstein WIP treads now but when I posted it wasnt displayed anywhere, now I see theres very early WIP shown, one empty (-1) post and now this one too. Some error occurred I believe.

So dont think I am flooding, my intention was just to show one WIP. Ignore all the rest wips. Comment only this specific one, please

Superb Matti!

Im sure you are going to do the same with his collar as you did with Charlie, at the moment it looks like you stuck a photo onto a line drawing

There should be a dark shadow under his chin. Would this look ugly if its like black and white contrast without semi tones? Lighter shadow woud not make it right, too dark makes it just duotone. What do you think? I dont want to start shading his jacket too much...

I think I would be tempted to leave it out . As there is not going to be too much tone around that area, something that dark is going to pull your eyes into that direction away from the face.

I dont think leaving the shadow out is going to be detremental to the drawing in any respect as your clients seem to have requested the main focus is the face and unlike most of the stuff you have done before, the clothing comes secondary and should be hinted at (as in PC) rather than become a part of the drawing as a whole.

If it does look wrong it can always be adjusted later.

See what others think.

Wow, that is just awesome! It's my favorite of your commissioned works so far.

I hate to mention this after the obvious amount of time you spent on him. Can't you do something about that hair? Sheesh!

Actually, I'm in the field of science in my other career. Your Einstein looks so good that it's making my hair stand up on end.
