"What a waste....."

Just want to say Hi to everybody. I know that I have been out for quite some time when my old computer broke down, but actually I'm just always around the corner reading to some new post from my office comp. but I coudn't post or respond to some queries and comments but I make sure I can peek every now and then. Those threads for me is my dictionary for my up coming artworks. Every members here has his own style and technique in doing his art, and for me it is an info and an inspiration for my next work. When I started drawing I used to work only on charcoal and soft pastel w/ the use of brush to do my portraits ( Jacob ), as I go along w/ the new post and topics I picked up some new hints, styles and info. That pencil point drawing that I did ( The Lady ) was inspired from the words, if I'm not mistaken, from Portraitartist. I never used tortillon and stump before, but from what I have seen from you guys this is one of the most powerful blending material out there ( Spencer ). I didn't mind before what kind of paper to use, or maybe I'm just ignorant to most of the best paper out there that I only have known it from you. I have also seen guys who made alot of progress along the way...... Honey Bee, Jim, Steph ( on the people subject ) to name a few and for those guys who has great talents w/ excellent art works..... JD, Portraitartist, Phil,MHK.......who didn't hold back any reservation in sharing their knowledge for the betterment of others. Once again......Thanks and keep up the good works guys. Tommorows a brand new day we'll just start over again.

God bless,

itoy

Hi Itoy,
Yippie! You mentioned me. Now I know I must be improving. I just started the new picture of my son as a baby. I AM going to take my TIME on this one. If I can nail it, it will be adorable. He is about 6-8 months in the picture and it's adorable. Even his sister thinks so. I am going to try to get it "realistic" but who knows may turn out differently.
I also want to thank everyone for their help, advice, secrets, etc. No other place can you exchange or gather more info than on this board! Everyone even the masters of "photo realistic" drawing have imporved. Some of us have to work a little harder but that is what makes it worth while in the end. Have a great day!
