Jim this is awesome! You are incredibly fast! I thought I was the only one around here who draws airplanes. Believe it or not, my next planned project (after the two portraits I am working on now) is a B-17. Draw more airplanes!

By the way, was this charcoal, graphite, or a combo?

Thanks Bill ..i dont think it would survive a dog fight with that new age fighter you created,...i was thinking about that as i was drawing this....the guy i drew this for loves to talk about these bombers..he use to fly one.......i seen a documentary about them on the history channel...they are pretty cool...if its the same one im thinking of they have a tourette on the bottom of them,....on that program they interviewed a pilot that said the hydrolics went out of his and they couldnt get the guy out and had to make a belly landing------OWCH*.....i like watching old war documentary films....i lucked out on the background...i know its a big time NO no...but the paper is so smooth i could use my finger to smear it in.....its 90% graphite..i only used charcoal on a few of the small black shapes it.
take care
Jim

Jim- this is fantastic!!! What was the paper that you used. You sure are speedy. Draw more planes. You mentioned the black door on the side of the plane. That's what it looks like to me, not a black hole, so don't worry about it.

Toby
