Once again I feel happy about people in artpapas who always support me on their comments and constructive critique. So its a pleasure to show you my latest work here first. This man is celebrating his 60ies next week and I believe this drawing will be given him as a gift.As I told you earlier this was a very quick to draw... Yesterday I spent 8hours on it, today it took 4hours more, so the total time is 12hours (believe it or not).
Blu-tack was used a lot, I make all my finishing blending with it. I also used these magical "nessu" tissues to blend graphite over everything. HB, 2B, 5B and 8B was used. Mechanical pencil (0,5mm 2B) helped a lot to create sharp edges. The most important thing to me during this session was finding how to really maintain dark tonality overall, so the drawing looks no washed anymore.
Pencils Derwent basic set, paper Paperipiste 8x11" (made in Finland, I guess available nowhere else?), eraser Penol film eraser. Reference 1x1", worse than hell. And again, the eyes really look that way...
