Hi gang, I have been sent here by a friend that thought this would be my perfect hangout. I must admit that there is so much talent and help here that I must be in Graphite Heaven. I have posted this pix right off the wall of my studio(home studio), I was so excited to post something that I didn't even take it out of the frame that my wfe put it in, add to that a scanner from the devil himself, that robbed me of all the softnest that the piece has,well so much for crying. Hope you like it,all comments welcomed they will only make me better! (smile)

Your portrait is great, I can see the softness of Holly in it (Scanner from hell or not) You'll fit right in here. Do you only do "people" portraits? How long have you been at it? We all want to know

Hi guys and gals, first thanks so much for all the kind words , my family and I appreciate all the love from this site. We were excited to read all the comments.
Jess- I work for the government now,but I have worked in commercial art (airbrush mostly) for 30 years off and on. I am not the owner of edrico online.
Warhorselover-(cool name)(smile)- I draw or paint anything I can, I am new to finished pencil work, but I think pencil is the mother of all great art, and with a knowledge of this device all things are possible!

That airbrushwork brings some memories on my mind... I used to work on it years ago, but I had to quit when I ran out of money (the same thing happened with tattooing thing). Damn, I wish I had any work left, but no, they are all lost somewhere... That was the time about 6-8years ago, I used to airbrush shells for cellularphones.. but as industrial customized phones became popular, this manual airbrushing turned to be non-profitable..

Welcome artpapas Zmick.. this is the place to hang out anytime.

BTW, I found some shells ca. 1996.. I put them here if somebody is interested.. Nothing to do with pencil drawing, but I just had to show them, some rare pieces from my history...
