Hello I am new and looking for imput.I have already seen a few things I need improvement on..such as eyes,hair,etc.Everyone here is so good.Here is an example of my work.The woman is a friend of mine but she said i made her look to old:-) Hoping to hear from you soon.

hey i think it looks great!...like a realistic water color.some photo's just dont have much detail...but it looks like you caught everything there was to draw.you have a unique style

This is a beautiful drawing. Very artistic. It looks very much like the work of some of the old Masters.

Nice piece Vic.. You will notice that most of the artists here try to achieve the more realistic look.. If your looking for a place to find helpful techniques on how to achieve the realistic look, you have come to the right place... There are lots of artists here that can give you tips and tricks..

Hi Vicklyn,

Welcome to the forum

I really like this drawing, it's realistic, it has movement and you've done great with your perspectives and tonal value.

I also agree with Bill, you have a style that looks very much like some of the old masters.

Hi Vicklyn,
I hesitate to speak here because I am so new at this.Trouble is I am opinionated and therefore usually have something to say. So take it for what it's worth.

I like the drawing, you have done a great job. If you wnat to make your victim..oops...subject look younger try to smooth out some of the lines, but be careful, that can also change some opf the character.

I did a full figure of my wife (she was gracious enough to pose for me) but she said I made her look too fat. I quickly told her, I made a mistake. Then I proceded to blend some of the darker lines into the area and eureka, she lost 20 lbs.

Keep drawing, you're doing great.

Thank you absolute...I have only been doing pencil this year and am hoping to improve.

sgreeves thanks for the advice...I tried to smooth out some lines but lost the character of my friend,so I put them back...oh well you can't please em all.
