"My latest stuff"

Hello all,
Here are my latest drawings. The first is my very first attempt at a portrait. It's a picture of my daughter. I was rather intimidated at trying to get the shading right by blending with stumps and tortillions. Turns out, it was easier than I had imagined it would be. Probably the only obivious mistake is her right eye. It looks to be a little too big. My wife told me to "just erase it".....But I had already filled in with the darker, heavyier strokes. I didn't want to chance messing it up any more. Oh well....My daughter loves it.The second is a drawing I just finished of one of my favorite NASCAR drivers....Matt Kenseth. I was flipping through a NASCAR magazine and this pic caught my eye. I plan to do lots and lots of NASCAR stuff. I'd love some critique on my work. Thanks everyone.
