"WIP 11/19"

Here's some links to some images of my latest commissioned piece. It was slow at work toay, so I ha a lot of time to finish what I ha started an tweak what I'd done.

Let me know what you think.

The beard didn't really take all that long. When you see the detail, you'll get a better idea of what I'm talking about.

This is really excellent work. Looking at your drawings really gives me inspiration to work harder at improving. Your work really jumps off the page for me. You are indeed a master.

It's looking excellent! The beard & mustache are a little different in your drawing (wilder), but you probably wanted it to be that way. It looks almost exactly like the guy in the photograph!

The ear seems to be little different than in the picture, the lines in it are also too dark. The nose is slightly too long and straight, but itll be fixed easily. I agree with others that the mustache is excellent!

Man, this picture is going to look totally gay

What he meant by gay was not the gentleman's sexual preference. He meant it would look wonderful. I agree with him. Do not forget that we are a multicultural community on the web. One persons expression means something else than what you would think. So Relax a little

Sorry portraitartist2002, I didnt mean to upset you. Maybe I select wrong words sometimes (quite often actually since I am not english/american person) but the idea what I was saying was basically intended to be taken postivively. A photorealistic drawing should reflect the reality in many ways, and if I say the truth about the drawing (in this case with very positive attitude), how can it be wrong?

So, my apologies for you about the previous letter. Next time I pick up my words more carefully and think twice everytime I use words that may hurt somebody. Seems to be that the culture over there is quite sensitive in using some certain terms, so I dont use those terms anymore.

After all, I consider myself more like very open-minded person who has nothing against anybody, but if somebody takes me wrong based on using ONCE a "wrong" word I consider him quite narrow-minded (and especially if this person knows nothing about my background).

I dont use g-word here ever from now on. I wish to see portraitartists quality works here also in the future.

Sincerely, MK
