Well, does the background work or did I mess this one up? New rule.....do the background FIRST!!!! I hate to but I need to.

Thank you

Donna, hats off to you! This is gorgeous!!! Don't let the background bother you, the bike draws your eyes right to the guy sitting on it. I like it exactly the way it is.

Excellent work!

Hey Donna. First up. Unbelievable job on that mortorcycle! I've not seen it's match. Excellent!!

I also agree with you on the background, I just want to look at that bike and I find myself distracted. I really feel this piece stands on it's own with just that nice drop shadow you created. I want to really just look at all that awesome detail in the engine, it really shows off your beautiful talent.

Smokin piece!

Thanks Marc and Becca. The client loved it and said it was exactly what they wanted. It was so difficult for me to add a background because I worked so hard on the bike and I knew a background would take away from it. I am more into drawing a focused area of a scene, not the entire scene.

I am thinking of doing another bike, without a rider. I really enjoyed drawing the bike....loved the challenge.

Thank you

Donna this came out beautifull!,......if someone would have asked me to try and do this ..i would have said..."Are you crazy"......
the bike came out perfect from what i seen of the cose ups in progress....all but you forgot one bolt down by the tail pipe.,
the only thing i would change a little is the way the cloud around the riders face follows the shape of his head,...i know you have to make up a background wich i just found out my self is a very painfull task.,...
BTW i looked for good close ups of bikes one day,...its hard to find really good ones, you would think the internet would be jam packed with nice bike photos. ?
what are you drawing right now?

Thank you Wendy, Vickie, Jim and Sharon. I really appreciate such wonderful comments from very talented artist.

Jim, the next commission is going to be FUN!!!! It's for someone in the Air Force. It will be a huge wizard (their emblem) with some shields and the Air Force logo. I am thinking of doing the wizard to sort of look like Da Vinci's old man drawing. Since I don't have to make the wizard look like anyone in particular I am going to have fun making him up as I go. I am really excited about this one!

Thank you
