Abso: Maybe I will have to do that too... I dont know yet
Phil: I was thinking that too and then cut a piece off his left ear, now they are in balance so he can walk straight more easily.
Itoy: Thank you.
Donna: Ive been into portrait drawing for about 6 months, how could I write a book... I just know what works for me
Jenni: Yeah the client likes them. I think these will be used mostly online and posters with huge tweaks and mods, so I dont know if I put too much efforts in them to make them look clean...
Richard: I am glad if you have found my tips useful. I still think theres nothing unusual in my technique, maybe except using blutack.. Ive really been thinking how to put it in use.. it turns drawing to sculpturing in a certain sense

Hey Matti... great job on this one... the shading is very smooth, and I appreciate you letting us in on your techniques. I will have to try out the tissue and chamios... I use blu tack also, and it is a life saver!

Really great job, great likeness, and very nice shading. Can't wait to see more... I am just wondering how you are going to tackle a portrait of Jesus, don't think I would want to touch that one.

Keep up the good work!!

Joshua

TheDuke: I ve been charging lately nothing for my pieces. I think I am going to be paid about 100euros per piece on this commission. Sad truth is that nobody buys graphite art around here... Ive made about total 190euros on my all drawings (about 10) so far, so this specific deal is quite big for me

Matti - you have GOT to be kidding - you've only made 190euros so far on all your drawings? Do you know what they'd pay for such exquisite talent on this side of the pond?? More than 190 euros I can guarrantee that!

Thanks becca but I am not kidding. Ive even sent some emails to ad agencies but it seems to be they are not interested.. so I have given drawings to my friends for free. I am envy for you guys (I know some of you make some cash with this), though making money is not essentially important but at least I would like to get even little money for that to pay bills... I would love to be serious about drawing but it seems just joke for everyone around here. I am so thankful you guys appreciate what I am doing.

Ok enough whining, back to drawingboard

The drawing is excellent! Somehow it looked a little spooky to me at first (dark, with glowing eyes) and sooty. But you said the drawing is a bit lighter. And it really is great--a great likeness, great detail and everything! Keep it up, despite what anyone thinks over there!

nevermind Melissa.. everything seems to spook her.. So what is the equivelant in US to 190euros? ya know Matti, if you want I've got an extra room down here in Corpus Christi,Texas (right on the beach) that you can borrow if your looking to make some real cash from your art.. the only thing I ask is, teach me EVERYTHING you know!!

Sorry if I sounded rude--I really didn't mean to be by saying it looked spooky. Just think of it as spooky in a good way, like how people say "bad" for good. It's a wonderful drawing!

Melissa, I think the eyes are spooky too so I blended it quickly. Now I think the eyes are better in balance. Thanks for the comment
