Well there isn't much left to say after all the great replies, but I must make a comment on the hair, quite excellent! For me I think it is my trouble spot, you have got it down perfectly!! I admire your patience, maybe the young can't do that yet , but I certainly envy your ability, 25 hours so far, how long do you usually put into a drawing, on average. My last was 18 hours but not nearly as much detail, or greatness, as this one will be.

Hey Jess! Thanks for the comments. Her hair took 13-15 hours, it took longer then usual because of the "up-do!" I really wanted to match her style so I took my time, most of my stuff is around 45 hours.

I'll be honest with you Jess, your work at your age is 10 times better then what I was doing back then. I think you have a real good idea of what it takes to produce realistic textures and how much patience is involved to achieve it, so it really boils down to time spent. You will get there even at your tender age. I'm the one with envy!

Peace Kid!!

Uuuuhh you guys really put some effort on what youre doing..
The longest time I have spent on one picture is 10 hours, usually 4-8hours. But I guess this great amount of time really makes those pictures (like this one) so realistic..

Wow, Marc, great work! The hair is gorgeously done! I can see how it must have taken so long. The skin is very nicely done, too--very smooth. I was wondering if there was too much space between her right eye (our left) and the side of her face. It may just look that way to me. For some reason she does look a bit thinner in the photo, I think (especially around her jaw and cheek on the left). Excellent job over all and I'm sure the one who commissioned it will be very pleased!

Hi Marc,
I'm curious to know how your drawing is going

Hey Bella. It's going slowly! I'm about 5 roses into the Bouquet and their taking about an hour a rose. So many petals!!!

I'll draw a few more and post an update. This is supposed to be a Christmas gift so I have to start putting in more hours daily. I'm at 31 hours and not even half done.

Your drawing looks great marc! The skin tone and hair came out really nice. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of it. I know it takes time though.

Here's an update of my bride drawing, we're well into the roses and I'll tell ya I'm starting to lose it a little! There is so much going on in this bouquet it's tough to keep track of all of it. I keep getting lost!! The toughest part is over though I'm working my way down to the bottom and it flows a lot easier. I'm out of the Jungle!!

Once again The shadows are much darker then the drawing their not nearly as harsh!

Peace

The roses are excellent! And so is the rest of the picture. This jpeg is kind of small, so I am not sure how it looks like in real world, but somehow I got an impression of "plastic" roses... Maybe I am wrong, but maybe some small details would make it look like more real? I am sure theres lots of them, but this "plastic" impression somehow got into my mind... Heck, who am I to talk about roses, I havent seen roses for a few years..
