Hi Linda, I saw your posting at work but it's hard to respond from there (it's hard to look like I'm working when I'm having so much fun!) You've done a fantastic job on this furry critter, I like the fading of the banksia flower and the branch underneath gives him a proper footing. It's lovely!!

By the way, I take back my comments about Aussies getting all the cool animals & plants. Last night I was watching a documentary about Australia (I know, I don't get out much!) and you've got far too many poisonous critters running around there - especially the spiders - yech!!

I think it's just been a really long winter and I'm dying to see at least a patch of healthy green grass for a change!

The big hairy huntsman spiders scare me spitless. Even if they are supposedly harmless, we had one in the house last night that was HUGE... about 3 inches across. And hairy. Once I had one drop on my naked shoulder while showering. Agggh!

And we've been waiting for winter so we can see green grass again! We've had a terrible drought, so we hope for a rainy winter.

thanks for the compliments!

Hey Linda....... love the possum ...it looks amazing and absoulutely gorgeous!!

Reading your last post gave me a flash back to when I use to live in Australia!!

I rented this house in Sydney that was infested ( I'm serious!)with huntsman spiders.... man, the stories I could tell... lol

I hate them..... (they freak me out big time) I'm so happy that Texas doesn't have any

   thank you Bella-

the ONE thing that redeems Huntsman spiders to me, is, if you have one in the house, it EATS every other type of creepy crawly thing around... including other spiders.

then when they get really big you evict them - this is what husbands do really well!
