Oh you make me blush Vickie! Thank you.

I have just been having so much fun with Mr.Bear, and I think it really shows. I struggled with the Heron, and although I feel I got it working in the end, it is slightly uncomfortable. One for the drawer! But Mr.Bear has been practically drawing himself.

Update attached... now to start on the gum leaf frame.

That's looking fantastic Linda! I love seeing this little guy come to life through the progressing stages. I bet it really is fun drawing this one.

Quote I love that man's work and can watch his stuff endlessly. Roos are really fascinating critters - did you know that a female roo is ALWAYS pregnant?! Whenever you see one she will have an adolescent at the 'hoof', one in the pouch, and a fetus in reserve.

I love Attenborough's work too! And I did know that about female roos - but I only learnt it recently because I'm reading his book from cover to cover!!

   Well all,
Here is Mr. Koala completed this morning. I didn't time how long it took, but I took over a week (8days) working between/ off and on about 5-6 hours each day, give or take! Whatever, he has been fun to draw and I am fairly pleased with the result. Final size is 24cm x 25cm deep.

Any suggestions for improvements will be appreciated - I haven't yet bought that can of fixative Mike!

Quote what's your next project?!

Thanks Becky! I really had fun with Mr.Bear. I'm leaning towards a featertail glider to draw next - this is a teeny little possum about 7" long... most of which is a fluffy tail they use for gliding. Only problem is the little fellows NEVER stop moving! All my reference photos are very blurry.

Hi Linda, I saw your koala on JD's forum. Watching your WIP and seeing your close-up of the hair detail was really helpful to me, thank you. Your work makes me want to visit the zoo right away, snap some photos, and get started on something new!

Beautiful work, I'm looking forward to seeing more

The zoo is great, I find I can draw the animal much better if I have seen it in action and understand how it moves.

Work will be slow for a week or two, as I cut open my finger this morning on a dog food tin lid, ouch. Its hard to draw with bandages!
