Hi Absolute, the lynx is appearing from the paper as we look...cool
... probably a throw away comment, but I would like to comment. ...re drawing a centaur,...half human, half horse.
I think a knowledge of basic anatomy will help, to understand how something like this would move both horse and human. Just adding a thought to the pot...........

...maybe we should only accept the bottom half...... and JD can just have the top half?

thanks vicklyn..you guys really are great,..much warmer then the pyrographers ive e-mailed...a lot of them treat me as if im a used car salesman,..they dont seem to like to exchange ideas and stuff as much.
i actually am going to try to create a 1/2 horse or deer...1/2 human...im not up on greek mythology and stuff like that so i dont know the name of what they are called......but ill do all of it and scan it as i go..but i dont think i will do it as a work in progress cause im not sure how it will go...and i dont want to get a lot of unfinished post started ......just incase

Great drawing so far absolute. The wood burned one is great alos. I have yet to try an animal because of doing hair also. I got a picture of my black lab/golden retriever that I'm gonna draw soon.

BTW the half man half horse is a Centaur. Top half man bottom half horse.

I'm glad to posted that woodburning (don't you think "pyrograph" would be a classier name? ) because now I understand your approach to the Lynx much better.

It's not often I see (er.... never - I think) a finished drawing unfolding from the top down!

...and I'm full of admiration for your pyrography talent - amazing work! My sister enjoys pyrography also but not to your standard.

MIKE--LOL yes that would be a much better name...art papa was my 1st time joining a discussion board ,,and im more use to chat rooms
so i used a log in name that has to do with something i use to drink a lot of it has nothing to do with the way i view my art,..
I have thought about that a lot....if i could go back and change one thing ..it would be my log in name.
-----------------------------------------------------
Avantar.--.you surely arent alone with the hair problems,i usually scap about every 3rd drawing because of hair..i wish people were all bald,..and with no teeth.
my best friend in indiana has a golden retriever a brown one,...he is very very active,..but also one of the smartest dogs ive ever met...he knows how to open the gate to get out,...so they have to wire the latch and is impossible to catch once he is out....he runs aprox--325 mph",....well close to that anyhow
