I don't think you really need to be told how great this is looking do you? You do? well,

Its great! The way you have intesified the blacks in the fur really make the drawing pop. She still looks very cuddly kitten, but now she has a lot more depth to her. Her fur is richer and thicker.

The only suggestion I could make would to be possibly a teeny bit more tone under the chin (our right)? just to make the face appear more three dimensional... but don't do it if you don't think it is really necessary.

What does everyone else think?

Linda, thanks for your comments too. I see what you mean, but I have chosen to not go too heavy under the chin - I have spent ages working and reworking the area - I'm still not 100% satisfied, but I think the problem is because of the different areas of light coloured fur. It's actually quite light in the source photo too.

That's so much better Becky! The neck has a natural flow to it now - instead of being a distraction it now leads naturally up into the head.

Don't concern yourself what anything looks like in a photo - it's a source, not something carved in stone. All that matters is that it looks right, not that it looks like the photo.

I've always thought copying a photo is a pointless exercise - unless the drawing is an improvement or brings out a particular aspect of it then the photo itself will suffice.

Well done! So what's next?..........
