Hey, what do we all do with our photography ... whether its for fun or a living ... landscapes, abstracts, color, B&W, (no digital discussion here) ... I do digi all day and when I relax its the real thing ... 4X5 B&W or Polaroid processes ... join in folks ... later. bill

Hey Bill,
I like to fart around with black and white infra-red. It's unpredictible, yet fun. Or I use polaroid transfer. And sometimes I'll combine photos with paintings.

hey dreamer ... funny you should mention painting over photos ... I love to paint (abstract with a lot of textures using a lot of water based polyurethane) and have been thinking about doing some trial painting on photos , tinting the poly and using it as a glaze over some old pix ... just out of curiosity, do you use a fiber paper to paint on or maybe a textured RC? oils or acrylics? I'm sort of an acrylic guy having never really tried oils other than Marshall oils for tinting photos ... what I like to do is apply a coat of poly, then use an acrylic wash over the poly, then sand back the wash and then apply a new coat of poly, repeating this over and over again, building up layers of color ... I want to try this on some photos but only time will tell if the paper base will withstand the constant sanding ... I'll let ya know ... I'll try one and post the pic ... take care, bill
