Hi guys,Over at the JD Hillberry Forum - Charcoal and Pencil drawings- there is a string called "Question on prints". Have a read of this discussion as it may answer many of your questions.
Re the framing of pencil work... I usually get mine framed fairly simply - often triple mounted (middle mount 2mm black so it looks like a rule or line), with a simple black moulding/frame. The best thing I have found is to go to a quality framer. Usually one that runs a gallery/exhibition space as well is a safe bet. Show him/her your work and develop a relationship with them. Be particular about how your work is framed, ask for and expect them to discuss options with you and show samples. Get an up front quote. Expect to pay good money - remember you will get what you pay for. That being said, many framers over here will give you either wholesale or a discount price for being an artist...especially if they know you will come back or put business their way!
Pricing of work is tricky. Basically you will not get back in $$$$ the time you spent! At least not right away!
