"I'm curious on how to select an acrylic medium for dry pigments"

Basically I'd like to start making my own acrylic paints for casual use. I'm interested in making a very flat, opaque, fluidous (low viscosity) paint. Currently I use animation grade paints to paint miniatures. They work well, but I'd like to do some experimenting to see if "home-made" paints could be better.

Here are my questions:
1. Can you recommend a medium for me to blend dry pigments with?
2. Do you think these mixed paints will perform well, or is it more trouble than it's worth?

I would be concerned about what type of dry pigments you are using.
possibly you could call or write to an acrylic paint manufacturer to find out
if your pigments are compatible with an "
acrylic matte medium". If you are concerned with your paint being chemically
stable, archival, and of relative toxicity, get the real info from the manufacturers.
