"digi art"

   greetings from new zealand.
here are a few of my original artworks that i have created with a combination of different mediums. They are mostly based around my own culture ( maori - new zealand native ) so they may be a little difficult to appreciate, never the less i hope you like!

   Welcome to ArtPapa.

Looks interesting, culturally inspired and with some deep personal value or meaning, from what I could see so far through the watermark (understandable, but significantly affects the viewing experience.) Distinct forms and good attention paid to composition.

Were the initial drawings done digitally as well, or done in pencil/ink then converted digitally? What software did you use?

thankyou for your comments, and you are so right in saying that the watermark does affect the viewing experience, but a recent incident with one one my artworks put onto T-shirts promted me to do so, and because it was taken off my web site and the resoulution being 72dpi, it made my work look discusting! phew! once again thankyou for your honest comments

I use a normal hb pencil to do most , and in many pieces all of the initial drawings on paper, (not neccessarily the the same piece of paper) - scan it in to my computer, and in most cases use photoshop and macromedia freehand to render the artwork. Would love to include 3D imagery into my work but dont really know which software to start off with - do you know of any?

Unfortunately, I don't do 3D work and wouldn't be in the position to shed any light on the matter.

To throw some software names around - Poser (for figures, I assume), 3DMax, Maya, Bryce...
