"My Drawing"

Hi everybody!
I just re-registered again - couldn't post anything without it. So, I am new now. I see a lot of changes here... so I feel new too:)

Ok, any way, I'd like to show some of my creations.
Not only in my favorite graphite, but in colored pencils too.

My best wishes to everyone,
Alyona

Hi Alyona,
I love the litle girl in the Coke cart, it's the only one I haven't seen yet, it's a really great piece of work, the subject is just adorable.
I have a drawing on the go at the moment, an infant and she is wearing a soft grow-suit, I was wondering how you achieved the really furry, soft look of the scarf on cutie in a hat,
I remember u saying something about dropping water on the page sorry if it wasn't you and I'm confused
but that texture would be perfect for my drawing, any tips would be greatly appreciated

Hi Jess !
Thanks for reply!
Yes, drawing that scarf was an accident (happy accident;) )
First of all I grabbed wrong pencil - I didn't realize that it was not exactly graphite, but "Sketch and Wash" pencil. I just was surprised about softness of that pencil. I had glass of drink on my desk and suddenly I notice that scarf is wet in one place. I started rub it and noticed sort of watercolor effect. I decided that I spoiled picture any way, so even accelerated this effect. In result of drawing, making it little bit wet and rubbing it with circular motion I have this kind of texture. If you want to try it - don't do it on original drawing. Try on separate piece of paper. Experiment with different pencils (like Portfolio Aqua Sketch).

Hope it will help you!
Good luck with your project!

Best wishes!
Alyona

Thanks Alyona,
isn't strange how some things work out, that texture you achieved really looks great and it happened by mistake.
I think I'll experiment a bit and hopefully have my own happy accident , Thanks again for your help.

Thanks Jess and Itoy for reply!

Itoy, it is great website. Thanks. Unfortunately I am not a member... Yet}> .. When I will feel myself more comfortable with colored pencils I guess I will enroll. I am learning right now. Trying to do it as soon as possible and as much as possible.

Ok, here is my new CP drawing... I am not very happy with it...
Any way....
