"Its been Awhile"

Hello all of you ARTPAPA groupies.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful year, and are finding joy and contentment in the new one before us. I have been away for quite sometime, but I glad to see that everyone has been working hard on their artisitic pursuit.

Well enough of the formalities, lets get down to business. This is a series of paintings I completed showing the layer process of the seventeenth century flemish style that Mr. Antonov has been so gracious to show us}> . I found this exercise to be extremely helpful in gaining some knowledge of painting (and apples), and I would recommend it to anyone. I really look forward to hearing constructive critcism, for I definatly need it.

Regards
Doug

PS: Please forgive me for my less than adequate photographic skills, I need training in this as well:-(

Hi Douglas,
The apple is fantastic....it's starting to spark my interest in oil painting again...
